Not every lawyer has the same need.
Lawyers should consult with their marketing teams to consider media relations, podcasts and videos to help formulate a PR Plan that is right for them.
Media Relations
- Crisis Communications – When and how to speak on sticky matters.
- News Conferences – When does a result rise to this level?
- Press Releases – How to turn a press release into a feature article.
- Media Training – How to speak effectively to the press.
- Article Placements – Is your idea marketable? Is it best for a business or legal magazine?
Heather has pitched stories to and worked with reporters who write for some of the nation’s most prestigious publications including The Wall Street Journal, The National Law Journal, Law360, The Kansas City Star, The Denver Post, Law Week Colorado, Missouri Lawyers Weekly, The Chicago Daily Law Bulletin, Crain’s Chicago, and the Business Journals for Denver, Los Angeles, Kansas City, Phoenix and St. Louis. Newspapers in 175 markets published an article about lawyers from different generations working together. Heather supplied the media with the photo idea and her then firm was carried all over the country. Heather has many examples of this kind of creative thinking.
Podcasts
Podcasting is on the rise and an effective and long-lasting tool to allow you to be heard. A simple audio recording that you can share on social media can position you as an authority in the area of law or announce firm news. We can help you build an audience by repurposing podcasts in a variety of ways including your website and social media platforms. The Legal Marketing Association awarded Heather’s prior firm with an honor for its weekly podcast program, along with its video creation.
Videos
Videos created for your website and social media personalizes you. Let’s work together to put you and your firm in the best light. Whether it’s announcing a lawsuit, highlighting a result or to showcase attorney bios, videos can set you apart from other lawyers. Heather’s previous firm earned MarComm Awards for the videos she produced. She also helped the KCMBA earn an award for videos created, along with Blue Coffee Productions, to promote its Military Matters pro bono program.
